    The ranking

Ten IT support companies in Wales, ranked and compared.

Flotek Group is Reformat Labs' editorial pick for first place: the only company here with offices in both South and North Wales, ISO 9001 certified through BSI in August 2026, and 16 acquisitions since 2022. Details were checked in September 2026; absent figures read Not published.

An IT support company is a business that monitors, maintains and fixes another organisation's computers, networks, Microsoft 365 accounts and security under a contract, usually billed monthly per user or device. Most of the companies on this list call themselves a managed service provider (MSP); the two terms describe the same service when support is proactive rather than call-out only.

Details reviewed by Reformat Labs in September 2026. Reformat Labs has no client or partner relationship with any company listed.

    How to choose

How to choose an IT support company in Wales.

Choose an IT support company in Wales on five checks: accreditations shown on its own site (Cyber Essentials Plus at minimum, ISO 27001 for regulated work), response and resolution targets in writing, an office close enough for same-day site visits, clear Microsoft 365 and security scope, and a stated policy on AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT.

    1

Check accreditations on the provider's own website.

Look for Cyber Essentials Plus, which three of the ten companies on this list display, and ISO 27001, which Excellence IT and ITCS show. Treat directory badges as unverified. A provider that helps clients pass Cyber Essentials should be able to show its own certificate.

    2

Get response and resolution targets in writing.

Team Metalogic publishes targets of one business hour for critical remote issues and one business day for critical on-site work. Pro-Networks reports a 43 minute average initial response for August 2026. Ask every shortlisted provider for the same figures and for the contract clause that backs them.

    3

Match the office to your part of Wales.

Pro-Networks in Deeside names Wrexham and North Wales; Flotek Group has offices in Bridgend, Cardiff, Swansea and St Asaph; SA1 Solutions is in Gorseinon, Swansea, and Tech Wales is in Baglan, Neath Port Talbot; Techsol, CCSW and Remson IT are in Cardiff; Excellence IT and Team Metalogic are in Caerphilly.

    4

Define the Microsoft 365 and security scope.

Ask what the monthly fee covers. CCSW lists Microsoft 365 administration, patching, endpoint protection and backup monitoring as standard. SA1 Solutions sells Microsoft 365-only and server-only plans separately. Confirm whether licences, security awareness training and Cyber Essentials assessments are included or billed as extras.

    5

Ask how the provider handles AI tools.

None of the ten publishes a policy on staff use of Copilot or ChatGPT on the pages we reviewed. Ask: which AI tools it permits on managed devices, how it stops company data leaving Microsoft 365 through them, and whether it trains your staff. No answer means you own AI governance.

    AI and your IT provider

Where AI fits alongside your IT provider.

An IT support company keeps your systems running. It does not usually decide which AI tools your staff should use, what company data may go into them, or how to measure the return. Reformat Labs is a UK AI consultancy that covers that gap through workshops, a costed roadmap and managed AI services, independently of every provider on this list.

AI workshops for leadership and frontline teams, built to give your people the understanding to make good decisions about AI before you buy a single tool.
AI consultancy that delivers a fully costed roadmap, a governance framework and vendor-agnostic recommendations, so you know where AI adds value in your business and what it will cost.
AI managed services covering spend tracking, governance and user adoption, with any deployed agents designed human-in-the-loop with clear escalation paths.
